This blog post will tell its story in pictures. Holiday is fun and Antibes will be in my heart forever.
Starting off with one of the main attractions for this trip; my father’s birthday turning 60!
Birthday man in new espadrillos, a freshly baked pain au chocolat and one of many dips in the Med.
This morning I was woken up at 5 am by paparazzis flashing their 45 cm long lenses in my hotel room. Obviously! Well, that was the feeling I got a few seconds before I realised that it was a thunder storm hitting the bay hard. Perfect day for strolling around doing touristy things and taking 125 snapshots of the market provencal, my dad walking and selfies to see how my tan has improved. Enjoy!
Picasso museum: Someone has had an accident. Well in the right place at least.
A tourist and her pentax by the Museum of Picasso. I challenged myself and bought the book by his last wife (he had a fair few) Franoise Gilot. It is a biography about her life with the artist, in French. That is the challenge. Not the fact that she was 21 and he 41 when they started dating. He was a handsome man. And pretty rich. And all arty.
And now off to the market, the pictures speak for themselves. I would eat it all, but didn’t:
I found the bargain rack in the market and these LOVELY 100% silk harem pants with pink palm trees and stuff was €10. Let me tell you that bollywood, zumba and gagnam style is all over the place.
Pappa is getting jiggin’ with it – in a way.
Post beach, post pool swim and chilling like a baws. And in a swim suit. That is a first and might be the last in this blog! The cellulite is suprisingly invisible in this photo and that is because I am sitting on them.
I have shared more than enough with you for this time. But it was a pleasure doing it. I am at this moment sitting on the balcony drinking (alcohol) and listening to the volley ball and rugby playing on the beach. When closing my Mac down for tonight I might (will) light a Marlboro light and watch some of the matches (men without shirts) played on the beach and continue this lovely Thursday evening with some serious bantering with my parents. I guess the fight of the spotify will continue. Mamma “Sailing with Rod Stewart!”, pappa “Have you ever heard the rain with Creedence Clearwater Revival!” and me “anything by Daft Punk or Beyoncé!”.
To all my Swedish readers I wish you a peaceful and GLAD MIDSOMMAR! And to the rest of you loveys out there, tata for now and thank you for stopping by.
